Eric Rayner, President

Eric is a licensed Landscape Contractor, an avid gardener for the past 25 years and a native to Marin. After receiving his MBA, Eric attended UC Berkeley Extension for Garden Design.  He has a strong "green" background, including a decade of designing and building hundreds of solar systems to heat swimming pools and hot water for home usage. Recently, Eric became certified in MMWD Water Efficient Landscape (WEL) program. He also feels honored that the firm was recently recognized for its high quality work.

Elizabeth Poston, Landscape Designer and Project Manager

Elizabeth received her Bachelors of Science in Environmental Horticultural Science at the prestigious Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She has a true passion for the field and knew it was her calling from a young age. She has been designing beautiful gardens for people for the last four years and has a great balance of the artistic design experience as well as the hands-on approach to taking care of the gardens she inspires. Elizabeth has spent her time in the landscape field working in a nursery in her hometown of Napa, maintaining landscapes for commercial properties in San Diego and competing across the country in landscape-related competitions. She has created beautiful residential gardens around the Bay Area from Novato to Gilroy. She loves to sit behind the design desk and let her creativity flow into her designs as well as get her hands dirty by making her designs come to life. Elizabeth is an advocate for water conservation and loves creating themed landscapes to meet her clients' dreams.

Tom Wilhite, Senior Landscape Designer

Tom was one of seven senior editors for the most recent "Sunset Western Garden Book" – considered the bible of plants in our business. He also contributes as a designer, writer and editor for Sunset Publications. For Rayner Landscaping he is both a skilled designer and a beacon of in-depth plant knowledge. He also designs gardens for Green Man Garden Design and Consultation. His educational background includes a BA from Hendrix College in Arkansas and a Certificate in Ornamental Plants from Strybing Arboretum, San Francisco.

Patricia Marmion, Operations Manager

Patricia has worked in design and architecture for over 15 years and brings a vast amount of graphic design, business and management experience to Rayner Landscaping, Inc. Whether she is writing protocols, designing presentations or negotiating the best deal for materials, Patricia is the behind-the-scenes person who keeps the company running smoothly.
