A brand new home in Novato had beautiful views of Open Space. The challenge was that the new patio was put in on top of an existing 6 foot retaining wall. For safety reasons, a railing needed to be put in around the patio.
To keep the existing views, the railing was made of tempered glass, which did not impede the view. In other areas needing a railing, 1/8" diameter stainless steel cables were installed horizontally every 4 inches, maintaining the airy, open look and again the view was kept.
In addition, the client desired a water element. The property had an existing gentle slope, so a waterfall and pond were installed. The entertainment bar was delivered and the back yard was completed with beautiful plants.
